ARCHIVE (Volume III): What's New At DEETER

As the warmer months approach (and are they ever taking their good ol’ time), many of our clients are planning to take advantage of the nice weather to hold special events. We’ve been working through a lot of the planning involved with events for St. Mary Medical Center, Tabor Children’s Services, and Lookaway Golf Club. These three events will be happening in May.

St. Mary Medical Center will hold Gospel Music Night for Stroke Awareness on Saturday, May 12, 2007, from 4 to 9 p.m. Designed to educate attendees about stroke, the third leading cause of death in this country, and because stroke is having a devastating effect on the African American and Hispanic communities, the event will feature Yolanda King, daughter of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, as well as performances by several area gospel choirs. In addition to heavy involvement with the planning of the event, we’re leading the media outreach as well.

Tabor May Days, hosted by Tabor Children’s Services, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day (preview event flyer). Spinning off the Mary Poppin’s theme, “Practically Perfect in Every Way,” we’re lining up a variety of performances by area entertainers and working to make this a really fun, family-friendly event. In addition to live music and entertainment, we’ll have a stilt walker, kites, crafts, tea parties, inflatables, Italian street painting, food, and more! We’re also helping Tabor line up sponsors for the event.

Lookaway Golf Club will hold a press event on May 15. The event will showcase Lookaway’s new short course and feature Rees Jones, world-renowned course architect. Jones designed Lookaway’s main course, as well as this new short course.

Access Property Management’s (APM) Web site is up and running. We will continue to add more photos and content to the site including a special section for each of APM’s communities. Feel free to check it out by visiting www.accesspm.com.
