ARCHIVE (Volume II) - What's New At DEETER
February just flew by for us – and the shortened month certainly didn’t help!
We helped stage a “Wrecking Ball Blessing and Brunch” at St. Mary Medical Center. The planning period on this event was relatively short, yet with just two weeks notice, we pulled of a very adorable event – but you can be the judge of that. Below you’ll find a picture that includes some of the area’s cutest construction workers, the kindergarten class from the St. Mary Child Development Center, who we outfitted with construction hats, lunch pails, and flashlights. The event commemorated the beginning of demolition on St. Mary’s Administrative Support Building to make space for a new medical office building.
The initial plans included having an actual wrecking ball bring down part of the building at the event, yet the infamous “Valentine’s Day Ice Storm” kept us on our toes. An excavator was brought in to begin the demolition, and all of the children as well as more than 100 guests watched as it tore into the corner of the building.
We also got very exciting news from another client, Hendrixson’s Furniture. In the past year, the Stickley sales at Hendrixson’s have increased by a margin of 42 percent making them one of the world’s top 15 Stickley dealers! We are currently working on a new ad campaign for the Hendrixsons announcing their upcoming Stickley sale. We’re also helping them launch publicity about their new drapery and reupholstery center as well as a new home entertainment area that helps homeowners come up with stylish solutions for decorating around (and even hiding) large electronic equipment.
Last, but not least, we’ve been working diligently with Access Property Management to launch their new Web site. The site construction is in its final stages, so we’ll include a link in next month’s update. We also completed a few additional pieces of their stationery, including a note card and envelope and a notepad.
